Palacio de Valledor

on going

On the edge of the town of Castropol we find this building founded by the Presno family, renamed Valledor after the marriage union of the heiress of the house. This U-shaped rectangular building around a courtyard is a stately house that has a cover, chapel, tower, interior courtyard, shields, dovecote, and other significant elements associated with noble dwellings

The age of the building dates between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries since during this period it underwent several interventions and remodeling. The Galician construction models are present in the building just like in the rest of the stately homes in the area, in which the buildings of tower, chapel and dovecote were endowed, giving rise to what we know as pazo or palace.
