The Palace of the Duke of Estrada urban residence of the seventeenth century, is located next to the medieval wall, in which even the northwestern tower is still preserved, as a rear closure of the property. It is built between the years 1617-1624, in this first phase consists of a solid, symmetrical and resounding body, flanked by two towers of new plan, following the model of urban palatial residence of Asturias of the beginning of the century, highlighting the definition of gaps with proliferation of balconies that exhibited social preponderance, factory solutions and their proportions, almost Herrerian.
Later in 1650, its east facade was expanded, forming an exterior gallery showing the refined classicism. At the end of the seventeenth century, the last of the expansions emerged by closing the inner courtyard. The history of the palace ended with the fire that consumed it during the French occupation of 1809.
